Labour Manager- Construction

* Northeast - Benton, Newcastle
* Full Time | Monday to Friday | 07:30 - 17:00
* Contract - One Year
* Rate Negotiable depending on experience


Search are excited to be supporting a regional contractor in securing the operational team for a new construction project in the northeast.

They are looking for an experienced on site Labour Manager to support the Project Manager on a £25million project with a year long (plus) programme. Scope of works involves multiple buildings, external works, groundworks.

The Role
* You will join the team prior to the start on site, becoming familiar with the project, scope of works and programme.
* You will support the Project Manager by leading the Labour team on site
* You will carry out quality checks, ensuring works are completed to a good standard
* You will oversee health & safety on site, conduct inductions, issue permits and tool box talks
* You will support the Project Manager with technical queries or challenges that arise.

Requirements;
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following;
* Experience managing teams
* Excellent leadership qualities, the ability to motivate your internal and external team on site.
* Work closely with Project Manager and enforce site rules to the team

You must also have the following;
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS
* Temporary Works

This is a freelance position working via Search Consultancy
The rate is negotiable depending on experience.
